Course designer, Marina Azevedo (BRA), set the track for this highlight jumper class. “The course was fantastic,” said Spooner. “I think she did an excellent job. She had that liverpool towards the end of the course, the skinny, and the triple that was boxed up into the corner. She had some really good tests.”

“My plan was to leave a little meat on the table and then eat it all, as I ran across to get up to the double. I just took a shot at it. He has a limitless scope, and so at the last jump I could just close my eyes and take a run at it.”

Spooner spoke of the Show Jumping Syndications Int’l owned entry, “I got Quirado RC from Hippico with Guy McElvain. He has been brought along slowly. He qualified himself for the World Cup in Gothenburg, but I just chose not to take him because he was just coming 10 and I thought it was too much. This year he feels incredible. He really is a nice horse.”
