Arnhem, The Netherlands – July 07, 2019 – Eiken Sato (JPN) and Saphyr des Lacs won the €62,700 Grand Prix of the Province of Gelderland CSI 3* presented by Söcieteit Gelre last Sunday during the Outdoor Gelderland CSI 3* in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

The Japanese and the 13-year-old grey Selle Français gelding (Mr. Blue x First Bride) were supreme in the 1.55m challenge by overcoming all the obstacles for no penalties and crossing the finish line in 39.64 seconds during the tiebreaker.

It was as close as it gets since Jens Baackmann (GER) and Carmen 255 (Cornet Obolensky x Contender) was right on the hooves of the eventual winners, finishing second only two-hundredths second behind.

Frank Schuttert (NED) and First Lady G (Whitaker x Lord Z) was also very close, completing the podium backed by a clean scorecard and a final time of 39.83 seconds.
