
Budapest, Hungary – May 26, 2019 – Andrej Holly (SVK) and Quintana won the Gróf Széchenyi Memorial Grand Prix CSI 2*, the featured competition of Széchenyi István Memorial CSI 2*, held last Sunday at the the Nemzeti Lovarda Equestrian Center in Budapest, Hungary.
Forty-nine riders had qualified for the final of the Gold Tour’s 1.45m challenge. After the first round, the top 12 horse and rider pairs, among them 5 Hungarians, competed in the second round.

There was only one double clear performance, so last year’s winner Andrej Holly (SVK) from Slovakia claimed the gold podium again, crossing the finish line in 47.57 seconds. His horse Quintana (Quinta Real x Arpeggio) started his career in Hungary and is still owned by Hungarian Tamás Makay.
Zoltán Czékus (HUN) on Kempo Cento finished second with only time penalty. The world famous horse breeder and rider.
Rene Tebbel (UKR) and Saxo de La Cour secured the third spot on the podium as the fastest four-faulters, stopping the timers in 47.21 seconds in round 2.
