The Israeli Equestrian Federation (IEF) has appointed Jeroen Dubbeldam and Hans Horn as Chef d’Equipe and team manager of the Israeli showjumping team.
The combination of these two renowned figures with Israeli riders is another significant step taken by the IEF in an effort to achieve historical representation in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The many and significant challenges facing the Israeli riders this year brought the Chairman of the National Association of Equestrian Sports in Israel, Kan Lalo, to approach them in order to recruit the two for the challenges the team faces.

“We are both honored to be summoned to come and train the emerging team of Israel,” Horn said. “We strive to achieve the best achievements, but our time is short and we already have a number of significant upcoming contests along the way, such as the Olympic Qualifying Competition in Moscow, the Nations Cup™ – Division 2 Series in Bulgaria and the European Championships to be held in the coming months .”
Horn is one of the most recognized coaches and managers in the equestrian industry, having successfully trained the Dutch, Swedish and Italian teams over the years and led them to numerous victories and several Olympic participations.
Next month, they will participate in the Olympic Qualifer – FEI Group C in Moscow, Russia. Moreover, the Israeli Showjumping Team will also compete in the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Series – Division 2 in Bulgaria later next summer.
In August, the team will participate in the 2019 FEI Jumping European Championships in Rotterdam, the first time ever that Israel will compete as a national team in the continental championship.
