
Miami Beach, Miami, USA – April 20, 2019 – The Shanghai Swans have a commanding lead at the top of the overall standings after winning the first two legs of the Global Champions League (GCL) in Doha and Mexico City.
The team from Asia has tallied the maximum number of points so far, registering a total of 60 to their credit. They are in contention once again heading to today’s decisive round at the Global Champions League of Miami Beach, sitting currently with a combined score of only five penalty-points, only two behind the leaders, the St Tropez Pirates.
Both the New York Empire and St. Tropez Pirates are tied with 35 points each while the the defending champions London Knights are only one point behind them.
The competition continues stiff at the top of the leaderboard with both the Hamburg Giants and Monaco Aces having scored 33 points so far.
The third leg of the league championship series takes place today, starting at 14:15 EST Miami time.
