Doha, Qatar – February 28, 2019 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Chalou won the €59,000 first GCL individual class CSI 5* today during the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) of Doha CSI 5* at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar.

The Italian and the 10-year-old chestnut Oldenburg stallion (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet) topped the 1.50m/1.55m speed class backed by a penalty-free performance in 73.34 seconds.

It was a battle of two of the “Titans of Speed” in the sport since Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Virtuose Champeix (Rubins de Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) were close behind in second place, the only difference being their time of 73.67 seconds.

Kevin Staut (FRA) and Viking d’La Rousserie (Quincy x Quaprice) earned bronze honors, registering no penalties in 74.32 seconds.
