
Eoin Mcmahon (IRL) and Chacon 2 won the €26,350 Milestone Farm Prize CSI 3* last Friday during the Winter Masters at the Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen (ECP) in Kronenberg, The Netherlands.
The Irishman and the 13-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Aventyno) were the best amongst fourteen combinations in the jump-off, clearing all the 1.50m obstacles along the way before crossing the finish line flawlessly in 37.85 seconds for the victory.
The home nation was nipped at the finish line as Leopold van Asten (NED) and VDL Groep Miss Untouchable (Chacco-Blue x Aldatus) were only nine-hundredths of a second slower, finishing second.
Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) and Kafka vd Heffinck (Calvaro x Diamant de Semilly) also completed their two performances without having any penalties attributed to them, earning bronze honors in 38.69 seconds.
