Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) and Dana Blue claimed top honors in the €50,000 RAI Amsterdam Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the Jumping Amsterdam CSI 5*-W in the Netherlands.

The Dutchman and the 11-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood mare (Mr. Blue x Hemmingway) were victorious in the 1.50m jump-off challenge, securing the victory after their second penalty-free performance, timed in 35 seconds flat.

Michael Cristofoletti (ITA) and Belony (Balou du Rouet x Raphael) were right on the winners’ heels, finshing only one-tenth of a second slower.

Jur Vrieling (NED) and VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest N.O.P. (Nabab de Reve x Darco) gave the home nation something else to cheer about, earning bronze honors with no penalties and a time of 35.75 seconds during the tiebreaker.
