
Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Caribis Z won the €24,700 Léon Melcior Open Sires of the World Zangersheide Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the Jumping Mechelen CSI 5*-W & 2* in Belgium.

The German and the 11-year-old grey Zangersheide stallion (Caritano x Canabis Z) claimed top honors in the 1.45m jump-off challenge, securing the victory after having no penalties attributed to them in 34.63 seconds during the tiebreaker.

François Mathy Jr. (BEL) & Casanova L’Herse
François Mathy Jr. (BEL) and Casanova de L’Herse (Ugano Sitte x Kashmir van Schuttershof) finished in second place, the only difference being their final time of 35.05 seconds.

Christian Ahlmann (GER) & Dominator 2000 Z
Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Dominator 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I) rounded out the top three with no penalties and a time of 35.85 seconds during the tiebreaker.
