Kevin González de Zárate (ESP) and Urbain des Grezils reigned supreme at the CSI 2* at the CSI Casas Novas – A Coruña, held last Sunday in La Coruña, Spain. The Basque rider claimed top honors in the €25,250 Tyco Grand Prix CSI 2*, taking advantage of being the last ones out in the decisive round, one that was disputed by only six combinations out of the fifty ones which took part in the test.
The Spaniard and 10-year-old black gelding were victorious in the 1.45m contest after completing their second effort flawlessly, stopping the timers in 31.51 seconds.
Maelle Martin (FRA) and Kosmo van Hof Ter Boone (Arko x Pachat II) were also double clear, eventually finishing second with no penalties in 32.30 seconds.
The podium was shared by Deborah Jackson (GBR) and Winning Girl Z (Winningmood vand de Arenberg x Creool) who were the first ones to register a penalty-free jump-off performance, posting a final time of 32.74 seconds.
