José María Quintana (MEX) and Catoki Boy were the winners of the MXN $500,000 Clásico CSI 3* yesterday during the La Silla CSI 3* at the Club Hípico La Silla in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
A total of 55 combinations faced the first round course with only nine of them advancing to the jump-off. The Mexican and the 8-year-old Holsteiner stallion (Catoki x Cassini II) were crowned champions by completing their second penalty-free performance, going through the timers in 36.63 seconds.
Arturo Parada (MEX) and Vitot Kervec (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) were very close, finishing second only due to their time of 36.82 seconds.
Alberto Hawa Ascencio (MEX) and Billy Cevelle (Cevin Z x Quelle Belle) completed the all-Mexican podium, having no penalties attributed to them and a final time of 38.88 seconds.
