Official Statement from Mark Bellissimo, Managing Partner of Wellington Equestrian Partners, Tryon Equestrian Partners, and Colorado Equestrian Partners
Wellington, Florida, USA – October 16, 2018 – The following statement has been released by Mark Bellissimo, managing partner of Wellington Equestrian Partners, Tryon Equestrian Partners, Colorado Equestrian Partners, and CEO of Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC, addressing the unsubstantiated and false accusations surrounding the sale of Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), and International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC).
“There is absolutely no truth to the rumor that the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and affiliated show entities including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Adequan® Global Dressage Festival, and International Polo Club Palm Beach are for sale, have been offered for sale, or have been sold. The venues saw record participation at competitions during the 2018 winter circuit and our partnership group remains deeply motivated by the continued growth these facilities have experienced in Wellington. We are committed to expanding equestrian sport well into the future at our Wellington venues, as well as the other venues that I am a partner of including Tryon International Equestrian Center and The Colorado Horse Park. We are looking forward to an incredible 2019 circuit.”
International competition will begin at PBIEC in November with the Holiday & Horses CSI 4* from November 28 – December 2, 2018, and continue through January 6, 2019, before the WEF and AGDF circuits are set to begin on Wednesday, January 9 and continue through Sunday, March 31. The first match at IPC will take place on December 30, 2018.
