The Italian anthem was heard for the second straight Sunday as Juan Carlos Garcia (ITA) and Cocodrillo claimed top honors in the €27,650 Grand Prix CSI 3* last Sunday during the Vilamoura Champions Tour CSI 3* at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre in Vilamoura, Portugal.

The Italian and the 15-year-old dark bay Holsteiner stallion (Corrado I x Lord) secured the victory by being the faster of the only two combinations that registered two penalty-free rounds, stopping the timers in 47.68 seconds for the victory.
Moreover, Italy also earned silve honors since Filippo Codecasa and Giulio 8 (Quadrigus M x Drossan) were the only other combination that had a clean scorecard after their two rounds, crossing the finish line in 49.89 seconds at the end of their second stint.
Lisa Cubitt (NZL) and Unca S (Udarco x Primo des Bruyeres) were the fastest ones during the decisive phase, rounding out the top three in 45.29 seconds.
