It was a surprising Belgian Championship for Seniors yesterday afternoon! Already after the first round the provisional results were all shaken up… The second round happened to be all-decisive! Only three combinations managed to stay clear in this ultimate round, earning them a place on the podium…
The first one to stay clear was Pieter Clemens (BEL), who counted on his 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Horizon de Regor (Obourg x Cento). He was followed by Arnaud Doem (BEL). The 26-year-old rider participated in the championship with Edgard de Prefontaine , a 8-year-old horse sired by Contact van de Heffinck and Orlando.
After Doem, only Dominique Hendrickx (BEL) managed to note another clear round, earning him the title with Kannabis van de Bucxtale. The horse is an 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding (Contact van de Heffinck x Concorde). The duo had already won the CSI 3* Grand Prix in Knokke last month, while they also won the main class during CSI 3* Knokke.
