Billy Twomey (IRL) and Kimba Flamenco won €93,700 The Caja Rural de Gijón Trophy – Gijón Deporte Prize CSI 5* yesterday during the CSIO 5* Gijón in Spain.

The Irishman recorded his second victory of the week by guiding the 9-year-old chestnut Anglo-European Sport Horse (Je T’Aime Flamenco x Heartbreaker) to a flawless run in 35.05 seconds that earned them the victory in the decisive phase.

Lisa Nooren (NED) and Hocus Pocus de Muze (Tinka’s Boy x For Pleasure) finished second with no penalties and a jump-off time of 35.71 seconds.

Sanne Thijssen (NED) & Bulavsco (Verdi TN x Corland) secured the third spot on the podium backed by two flawless performances, completing their second effort in 36.10 seconds.
