Dominique Hendrickx (BEL) & Kannabis van de Bucxtale won the BMW Centrauto Grand Prix CSI 3*, powered by Flandria Rent last Sunday during the De Kraal International CSI 3* in Zandhoven, Belgium.
In this difficult class only 9 of the 60 combinations were able to qualify for the jump-off. The Belgian and the 8-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding (Contact van de Heffinck x Concorde) immediately set the tone by staying clear in 36.48 seconds. The other combinations did their best, but eventually lost it to Hendrickx.
Kannabis van de Bucxtale is barely 8 years old. He’s already won bronze at the World Championship for Young Horses as a 6-year-old, became Belgian Champion as a 7-year old, and from today on, he will be named the winner of the CSI 3* Grand Prix BMW Centrauto powered by Flandria Rent.
The Olympic rider Malin Baryard-Johnsson and H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Animo’s Hallo) came closest to his performance, finishing their jump-off performance in 39.78 seconds for second place.
Tom Dhaeyere (BEL) was the last starter during the tiebreaker, taking his time aboard James vd Oude Heihoef (Douglas x Action-Breaker) for a clear round which earned them third place, stopping the timers in 41.39 seconds.
