The Jumping International de Dinard CSI 5*/3* came to an end today in grand style as McLain Ward (USA) & Clinta showed once again why they are considered among the best combinations in the world even after a short time together. The duo were simply brilliant, earning top honors in the €300,000 Rolex Grand Prix of Dinard CSI 5*.
The American showcased his maestry aboard the 11-year-old grey Oldenburg mare (Clinton x Lord Pezi) throughout their two performances, leaving dust to the field in the jump-off after crossing the finish line in 46.14 seconds.
Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) & Toveks Mary Lou 194 (Montendro x Portland) gave the eventual winners a run for their money, settling for second with no penalties and a time of 46.89 seconds during the tiebreaker.
Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) & Ilex VP (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) gave the home crowd something to cheer about, eventually finishing third due to their penalty-free effort in 47.15 seconds during the tiebreaker.
