
Emile Karim Fares (LBN) & Captain Z won the €24,900 Gemeente De Wolden Grand Prix CSI 2* last Sunday during the C.H. de Wolden CSI 2* in De Wolden, Drenthe, the Netherlands.

The Lebanese and the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Lord Z x Niveau) triumphed in the 1.50m contest by leaving all the poles up for the second time, completing the jump-off with no penalties in 38 seconds flat for the victory.

The closest ones to the eventual winners were Joe Clee (GBR) & Alzu Ohio (Optimum vd Wellington x Bambix), matching the winners’ two clean performances, finishing second due to their time of 38.92 seconds.
Sofia Kroon (SWE) & Lucky Silvana Z (L. Silver Joter Z x Cortez 679) rounded out the top as the faster of the two combinations that registered four penalty-points in the jump-off, going through the timers in 37.14 seconds.
