
Eric Lamaze (CAN) & Fine Lady 5 won the $131,600 Progress Energy Cup CSI 5* last Thursday during the ‘North American’ Tournament at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The legendary Canadian rider earned his second victory of the day by guiding Artisan Farms’ 15-year-old Hannoverian mare (Forsyth FRH x Drosselklang II) a blazing jump-off run without having any penalties attributed to them, crossing the finish line in 45.780 seconds.
Patricio Pasquel (MEX) & Babel (Billy du Lys x Quimera) earned silver honors, registering their second flawless peformance in 46.100 seconds.
Francois Lamontagne (CAN) & Chanel du Calvaire (Lucciano x Kashmir van Schuttershof) finished third, backed by a clean scorecard and a time of 46.170 seconds during the decisive phase.
