
Kent Farrington (USA) & Jasper won the PWC Cup CSI 5* last Thursday during ‘The National’ at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
The American and the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood (Heartbreaker x Wega van’t Gestelhof) were victorious in the 1.50m jump-off contest by posting two penalty-free performances, the decisive one in 40.750 seconds.
Enrique Gonzalez (MEX) & Zapzerap (Zapatero VDL x Ramiro Z) earned silver honors by matching the winners’ clean scoresheet, the only difference being their time of 42.560 seconds.
Eric Lamaze (CAN) & Saura de Fondcombe (Balou du Rouet x Paladin des Ifs) went all out, registering the fastest time among the three finalists, yet finishing in third place due to one pole down for four penalties with a final time of 37.920 seconds.
