North Salem, New York – May 10, 2018 – Twenty-three-year-old Sydney Shulman (USA) topped the first international event of the week in the $10,000 New York Speed Stake CSI2* on Thursday, May 10, riding Ardente Printaniere.
Shulman hails from Greenwich, CT, and grew up riding at Old Salem Farm. She and her mother Jill will be competing with the riders of their own Back Country Farm throughout the two weeks of the Old Salem Farm Spring Horse Shows.
Sydney Shulman:
On winning the first international competition of the week, Shulman said, “You can’t start the week off any better than this!
“This mare has a huge stride, so after the first double down the hill,I trusted how careful she is and really galloped away from that first combination to the next combination. I think that’s where she may have had it because she covered so much ground.”
