Bertram Allen (IRL) & Calafrieda won the €25,600 Gold 4 Longines Ranking two-phase class CSI 2* yesterday during Spring MET IV at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain.
The Irishman and the 8-year-old dark bay Holsteiner mare (Canto 16 x Lavall 5) were victorious in the 1.45m challenge by overcoming all obstacles on both phases, completing the second one with no penalties in 30.15 seconds.
Jamie Wingrove (GBR) & Bart VI (Lord Z x Levantos) earned silver honors with a penalty-free performance, going through the final timers in 30.38 seconds.
Clem McMahon (IRL) & Pacato (Pacino x Cavalier Royale) completed the all Anglo-Saxon podium, backed by no faults on both parts of the contest and with a final time of 31.10 seconds.
