Yannick Jorand (FRA) & Cipetto 2 won Friday’s €25,100 Longines Ranking Gold 4 1.45m class during Spring MET at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva Nova, Spain.
The Frenchman and the 10-year-old bay Holsteiner gelding (Contagio x Contender) took top honors in the two-phase challenge by leaving all the poles up on both phases of the course, registering no penalties and a time of 34.48 seconds at the end of the second part.
Jonna Ekberg (SWE) & Univers du Vinnebus (Luccianno x Grenat de Grez) were the runners-up, just seven-hundredths of a second slower than the winning combination.
Anna-Julia Kontio (FIN) & Lorenzo (Landus x Limbus) also registered a penalty-free performance all the way through the final timers, securing third place in 35.17 seconds.
