
Julien Épaillard (FRA) & Safari D’Auge won the €24,700 Gold 4 Two-Phase class yesterday during the first week of Spring MET 2018 at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour – Oliva Nova / Spain (MET) CSI 2*. First, the flying Frenchman and the 12-year-old Selle Français bay gelding (Diamant de Semilly – Marquise du Grimeux) overcame all the 1.45m obstacles on the first phase of the contest, repeating the feat at the end of the second part with a time of 25.71 seconds.
The next two top placings were conquered by Belgium since Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) & Compadre van de Helle (Casall x Concerto II) were second with no penalties and a final time of 26.06 seconds while Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) & Aikido Z (Accardi x Corrado) rounded out the top in 26.33 seconds.
