
Felix Haßmann (GER) & Balance won the €24,600 KCB Bank & Verzekering sponsored class CSI 5* yesterday during the Jumping Mechelen CSI 5*-W in Belgium. The German was victorious for the second time on the same day by riding the 10-year-old chestnut Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. mare (Balou du Rouet x Landabel) to two clear performances, the decisive one in 35.53 seconds during the jump-off.
Harrie Smolders (NED) & Zinius (Nabab de Reve x Kannan) posted two penalty-free runs, stopping the timers in 36.13 seconds during the tiebreaker for second place.
Niels Bruynseels (BEL) & Angel van’T Hof (Chin Chin x Nabab de Reve) clinched bronze honors after leaving all the poles in their proper places, registering a jump-off time of 38.05 seconds.
