Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) & Salomon were victorious in the €92,000 Massimo Dutti Prize yesterday during the Casas Novas Winter Show – A Coruña in La Coruña, Spain. The Dutchman and the 11-year-old bay Hannoveraner Verband e.V. gelding (Stolzenberg x Aramis) were simply phenomenal during the jump-off, completing the 1.50m course with no penalties in 34.65 seconds for the victory.
It was a 1-2 for the Netherlands as Leopold van Asten (NED) & VDL GroepMiss Untouchable (Chacco Blue x Aldatus) secured silver honors after their second penalty-free run in 35.82 seconds.
Ludger Beerbaum (GER) & Chiara (Contender x Coronado 3) clinched the third spot on the podium by leaving all the poles up and stopping the timers in 36.62 seconds during the tiebreaker.
