Bertram Allen (IRL) & Gin Chin van het Lindenhof won the Grand Prix, presented by H&M yesterday during the Sweden International Horse Show CSI 4* in Stockholm, Sweden. The Irishman and the 11-year-old grey Belgian Warmblood gelding (Chin Chin x Calido I) were the faster of the only two combinations that registered a double clear, stopping the timers in 42.63 seconds to defend the title from last year.
Malin Baryard-Johnsson (SWE) played it safe, guiding H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Animo’s Hallo) safely to second place as the only other combination with two penalty-free runs, the second one in 54.50 seconds.
Peder Fredricson (SWE) & H&M All In went all out trying to make it two wins in as many nights, just falling short due to one pole down in 42.16 seconds. The bold performance by the 2017 FEI European Jumping Champions not only earned them third-place honors but also the Leading Rider Award for the Swede.
