Matthew Sampson (GBR) & Gloria van Zuuthoeve won the Gold 3 jump-off class yesterday during the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour – Oliva Nova / Spain CSI 2*. The Brit and the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare (Gloria van Zuuthoeve x Darco) triumphed in the 1.45m Longines-ranked class after leaving all the rails up for the second time, stopping the timers in 43.93 seconds.

Caio Carvalho Filho (BRA) & Cheindira (Chagall van de Burggrave x Darco) clinched silver honors with a double clear scorecard, the second performance in 46.27 seconds. Vladimir Tuganov (RUS) & Qualidam (Quality Touch x Quidam de Revel) rounded out the top three by registering no penalties and being exactly five seconds slower than the winners during the tiebreaker.
