Wellington, Florida, USA – January 22, 2020 – Karen Polle (JPN) is the new rider for Sergio Álvarez Moya‘s (ESP) Jet Run. The Japanese rider acquired the 9-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Robin II Z) from the Spaniard.
The bay gelding had been ridden previously by fellow countryman Armando Trapote (ESP), the latter bringing him up to the international level.
Moya took over the ride, going on to register two wins last year, highlighted by the victory in the €55,000 Grand Prix CSI 3* at Eritrea Equestrian Tour last September in Busto Arsizio, Italy, and later competing him successfully at the five-star level.
Jumper News spoke to Moya and Polle who made the following statements:
Sergio Álvarez Moya
“I’m happy that jet run goes to a very good rider like karen and I hope to see them at Tokyo Olympics.”
Karen Polle
“I think Jet Run has a lot of ability and he has been very successful with Sergio this year, so I’m very grateful for this opportunity. I don’t have any plans as of now. First, I’m going to spend some time getting to know him for a few weeks, before we make a plan. Hopefully, our partnership will come together well!
