Doha, Qatar – March 28, 2026 – The third day of the 2026 Al Shaqab Cup CSI 5* & CSI 3* delivered a standout international result alongside another strong home performance at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab in the Qatari capital. The home success was highlighted in the €29,000 Special Two Phase CSI 5* – 1.45m, in which Bassem Mohammed (QAT) and Wathnan Chaccball added another win for Qatar.

Bassan blazed through the course aboard the 2013 chestnut Hanoverian gelding (Chacco-Blue x Baloubet du Rouet), completing the second section of the course in 34.44 seconds.

It was a one-two for the host nation as Faleh Suwead Al Ajami (QAT) and Wathnan Quality Street secured second place in 35.67 seconds.

One of the most consistent riders throughout the event, Mohamad Mogheeth Al Shehab (SYR) rode Saphir Z towards third place, doing so in 36.78 seconds.
