
Vejer de La Frontera, Spain – March 06, 2026 – Local rider Armando Trapote (ESP) secured victory in the €28,450 Big Tour Catunambú Trophy CSI 4* class after producing the fastest clear round (0 in 61.59 seconds) in a major class that saw more than 70 starters.
Second place was shared ex-aequo by Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Guy Williams (GB), both finishing clear in 61.95 seconds. Fourth place, also ex-aequo, went to Tom Schewe (GER) and Holly Smith (GB), who also completed the course without faults in 62.15 seconds.
The Circuito Hípico del Sol has now reached its fifth week of competition in the 32nd edition of the Andalucía Sunshine Tour. The event receives institutional support from the Junta de Andalucía — through the Regional Ministry of Tourism and Andalucía Exterior — and the Provincial Council of Cádiz. This week features several international competitions including a CSI4*, alongside a CSI1* and a CSIYH*.
