Robert Whitaker Races to Victory at the Jumping Amsterdam

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – January 24, 2026 – Robert Whitaker (GBR) was off and running on Saturday at the 2026 edition of the Jumping Amsterdam, teaming up with Gentlemen vh Veldhof for victory in the €56,800 Harry Wouters van den Oudenweijer Prize CSI 5*-W at the RAI Amsterdam.

Out of the original 41 combinations that entered the ring in the first round, 9 combinations advanced to the decisive round of the highly-contested 1.50m class. The British rider and the 20-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood (BWP) stallion stormed past the competition backed by a fault-free jump-off performance in 30.92 seconds.

The home crowd were delighted to see one of their countrymen on the podium as Leopold van Asten (NED) and VDL Groep Kwienbellie secured silver honors after two clean performances, the final one in 31.93 seconds.

Females were represented on the podium too. Barbara Schnieper (SUI) guided Canice in flawless fashion over all the fences too, securing third place in 32.60 seconds.
