Calgary, Canada – July 05, 2025 – The $62,950 Akita Drilling Cup CSI 5* kicked off sport at the International Ring on Saturday of the ‘North American’ Tournament in Spruce Meadows. The winning round format competition had 33 horse/rider combinations challenge the first track and the 10 top results from that round qualified for the winning round.

Five of the riders returning for the winning round carried the Irish flag, a dominant force this 2025 Summer Tournament Season. It was another victory for Jordan Coyle (IRL) riding, For Gold, in the Akita Drilling Cup CSI 5*. The pair delivered the fastest clear ride in the winning round with a time of 51.79 seconds.

Charlie Jones (GBR) and Capitale 6 were the closest ones, finishing second in 51.79 seconds while Eugenio Garza Perez (MEX) and Chalouries PS completed the top three with no penalties in 58.13 seconds.
