Shane Breen’s Cos I Can Passes Away

Dublin, Ireland – February 01, 2021 – Earlier this week, Shane Breen (IRL) announced that his former partner Cos I Can had passed away. Bred by Shaneโ€™s cousin, John Griffin, the bay Irish Sport Horse gelding teamed up with Breen to win the 2012 Nations Cup of Great Britain at Hickstead CSIO 5*, going on to record several victories and top placings with the Irisman.

In 2013, he was purchased by Olympic Rider Reed Kessler (USA), forming a successful partnership with her too. Cosi retired in 2018 after many successful years as Reedโ€™s top Grand Prix horse and returned home to Ireland where he lived quietly until a few days ago when he passed away at age 18.

2016 Speed Class at Oliva CSI 2*

2017 Jump-off Challenge at Valkenswaard CSI 2*

2017 Two-Round Challenge at Gross Viegeln CSI 4*
