Rockwood, Ontario, Canada – August 30, 2019 – Leslie Burr-Howard (USA) and Quadam won the $36,100 Open Welcome CSI 2* yesterday during the National CSI 2* in Rockwood, Ontario, Canada.
Thirty-six combinations took a shot to beat the course set by designer Oscar Soberon from Mexico, a technical track that challenged horse-and-rider combinations to leave all the fences up and doing this under the limited time allowed.
Five horses advanced to the jump-off, where the always fast Leslie Howard (USA) was untouchable aboard the 13-year-old bay Hannoverian stallion (Quite Easy x Stakkato), securing the victory after penalty-free jump-off performance in 38.84 seconds.
The runners-up were Canadian native Susan Horn (USA) and Balintore (Vicenzo x Lux), the only difference being their final time of 39.32 seconds.
Alexanne Thibault (CAN) and Sanjay (Canturo x Acord II) earned bronze honors backed by a double clear, going through the final timers in 39.767 seconds.

Podium: 3) Alexanne Thibault (CAN), 1) Leslie Howard (USA), 2) Susan Horn (CAN)
