Doha, Qatar – February 19, 2026 – The Longines Arena at Al Shaqab hosted the second day of the CHI Al Shaqab, presented by Longines, as the event’s 13th edition continued into its second day of competition, with showjumping action across CSI 5* and CSI 3*. Once again, it was Scott Brash (GBR) and Hello Jefferson who stole the spotlight, claiming their second straight CSI 5* win this week with the gelding in the best form of his life.

Thirty-seven combinations entered the stunning arena in the first round of the €165,000 Jump-off Challenge CSI 5*, representing powerhouse nations of the noble sport: Germany, France, United States, Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, just to name a few. Eleven combinations cleared all the obstacles and completed Uliano Vezzani’s (ITA) course within the time allowed of 79 seconds but only ten of them took part in the decisive round.

After it was all said and done, it was Brash and the 17-year-old Belgian Warmblood (BWP) gelding (Cooper van de Heffinck x Irco Mena) who remained at the top of the final standings. Backed by another bold performance, the dynamic duo won with almost a one second advantage over the next pair, clocking 39.93 seconds at the end of their second run.

Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) and Vestmalle des Cotis were the closest ones, showing their skills along the track before crossing the wire in 40.82 seconds.

Santiago Lambre (BRA) and Zeusz also posted two fault-free rounds, earning third place due to their final time of 40.86 seconds, just four-hundredths of a second behind the German combination.

Winner’s Circle: Scott Brash (GBR)
“Jefferson was incredible yet again. He has such an amazing career now. He is 17 years old, probably in the form of his life. And the whole team is behind us, keeping him in top shape.”
