Ramzy Al Duhami Opens Up the Races with a Win at Doha

Doha, Qatar – March 02, 2023 – The 2023 Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) got off to a great start at Al Shaqab with the first FEI-level class of the week and it was Ramzy Al Duhami (KSA) who stole the spotlight, racing to victory with Manola LS La Silla in the €26,200 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 3*.

Riding the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation’s 12-year-old bay La Silla mare (Manzanillo LS x Riscal), Ramzy lived up to his reputation, known for being one of the fastest riders in the world. The dynamic duo blazed past the competition and all the obstacles in flawless fashion, crossing the finish line in 23.95 seconds.

Ali Al Khorafi (KUW) and I (Dantos) matched the clean scorecard of the eventual winners, finishing second in 25.60 seconds. Ibrahim Hani Bisharat (JOR) and Happyness completed the pdoium in 25.94 seconds.

Following his win in the CSI 3* 2 Phase 1.45m earlier today, Riyadh Blue’s Ramzy Al Duhami spoke of his team’s debut season: “It is great to be back at the Longines Global Champions Tour, the best shows in the world. We are off to a good start with today’s win. For the GCL teams league, Riyadh Blue is a new team this year, and we are going to start slow and build as the season progresses.”
