Nicola Philippaerts Powers to First Turning on the Nitro at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3*

Oliva Nova, Spain – October 07, 2022 – Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) turned on the nitro aboard Khan Vd Kattevennen Z to win the €25,800 Speed Challenge CSI 3* to win the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 3* on Friday during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Autumn Series.

The Belgian star and the 2012 bay Zangersheide gelding (Kannan x Heartbreaker) rode triumphantly across the finish line in 64.65 seconds after leaving all the poles up for no penalties.

The top two spots on the podium were claimed by multiple five-star grand prix winners. Ben Maher (GBR) guided Dallas Vegas Batilly (Cap Kennedy x L’Arc de Triomphe*Bois Margot) towards silver honors, backed by a penalty-free performance in 66.03 seconds.

After winning the Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 3* yesterday, Axel Van Colen (FRA) was back on the podium with another mount, this time wit Done’Di Amore (L’Arc de Triomphe x Damiro L), conquering bronze honors in 66.65 seconds.
