Jérôme Guery & Grupo Prom Diego Dash for the Cash at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour CSI 2*

Oliva Nova, Spain – February 11, 2022 – Jérôme Guery (BEL) and Grupo Prom Diego jumped towards victory on Friday during the first week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring Tour II. Riding the 2008 bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Kannan*Gfe x Le Tot de Semilly), the Belgian was supreme in the €25,500 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 2* for the CHG – Construcciones Hispano Germanas Trophy.

A total of 61 combinations participated in the challenge, with 39 of them clearing the first section of the 1.45m class. In the end, nineteen pairs completed the second part without having any penalties attributed to them but the Belgian came out on top, registering the fastest time in 27.26 seconds.

Louis Pichon (FRA) and Solitude Au Vent (Quaprice Bois Margot x Israel) were the closest ones, finishing more than a second and a half slower than the eventual winners, with their mark of 28.78 seconds still guaranteeing them the second spot on the podium.

One of the most traditional names in the sport, the Philippaerts family powered their way to a podium finish. Thibault Philippaerts (BEL) rode New Life van het Hellehof towards bronze honors in 29.32 seconds.
