Valence, France – November 25, 2021 – Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Ilex VP turned on the nitro to dash for the cash in the €10,000 Hubside Speed Challenge CSI 3* on Thursday during the first edition of the Hubside Jumping de Valence’s Winter Tour.
Once again, the Frenchman teamed up with the 2008 black Belgian Warmblood gelding (Diamant de Semilly x Darco), producing the fastest clear effort of the 1.45m/1.50m contest, tripping the timers in 61.68 seconds for the victory.
After a third-place finish in the feature class of the day, Jur Vrieling (NED) reached one step higher on the podium, finishing second aboard KM Chalcedon (Calido I x Raphael ) backed by a penalty-free performance in 65.43 seconds.
Despite the strong presence of riders from the host nation, three different countries were represented on the podium, with Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) guiding Echos Son Z (Echo Van ‘T Spieveld x Nabab de Reve) towards bronze honors in 67.11 seconds.
