Michael Jung & FischerChelsea Fly to First in €100,000 Grand Prix of Mannheim CSI 4*

Mannheim, Germany – May 04, 2021 – Michael Jung (GER) has amazed the world of equestrian sports not only as an all-time eventing great but has consistently recorded wins competing against many of the best showjumpers in the world too. The three-time Olympic Gold Medallist, and one of only two equestrians to have won the Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, showed his greatness once again, this time by teaming up with FischerChelsea to win the €100,000 The Badenia Grand Prix of Mannheim CSI 4* on Tuesday to bring the Maimarkt-Turnier – Mannheim CSI 4* to an end in grand fashion.

The World and Olympic Champion and the 13-year-old bay Westphalian mare (Check In x Argent) overcame thirteen other top combinations in the jump-off by clearing all the 1.60m obstacles before claiming the victory by only one-hundredth of a second, timed in 41.85 seconds.

Maurice Tebbel (GER) and Don Diarado (Diarado x Lord Lancer) had victory snatched away at the wire, registering a double clear and a final time of 41.86 seconds.

The third spot on the podium was claimed by Douglas Lindelöw (SWE) and Casquo Blue (Chacco-Blue x Carthago), matching the clear scorecard of the two combinations mentioned above, securing the third spot on the podium in 43.22 seconds.
