Gorla Minore, Italy – April 23, 2021 – Laura Renwick (GBR) was back in the winner’s circle again for the second time in as many weeks. The British rider Galerius galloped to win the feature class of the day, the €5,000 Moon Hotel Prize CSI 2* on Friday at the Equieffe Equestrian Centre.
Renwick guided the Royal Dutch Sport Horse (KWPN – Dutch Warmblood) stallion (Diamant de Semilly x Sandro Boy) flawlessly over all the 1.45m obstacles before crossing the finish line in 59.86 seconds to earn top honors in the speed class.
After a great start of the year before the hiatus caused by the Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1), Richard Vogel (GER) showed consistency again, finishing second this time aboard Alentejo (Nartago x Skippy II), registering no penalties in 62.45 seconds.
The podium was completed by another German rider as Pia Reich (GER) and PB Jinka (Lordanos x Latano) posted the third-fastest penalty-free performance of the contest, tripping the timers in 63.05 seconds.
