Wellington, Florida, USA – March 23, 2021 – The stars are out in full force this week during the penultimate week of the 2021 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). The most anticipated grand prix of the winter season takes place next Saturday there, the $500,000 Rolex Grand Prix CSI 5*. Unfortunately, the FEI actions are still suspended in Europe and but showjumping is active in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
While FEI-rated shows are not taking place in Ocala, a strong international field will clash in Ocala in pursuit of fame and fortune. The grand finale of the 2021 WEC Ocala Winter Spectacular at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) features a $200,000 Grand Prix. The biggest payday of the sport in the United States also takes place at the ‘Horse Capital of the World’ next Sunday, with the running of the Great American $1 Million Grand Prix, concluding the 40th edition of the Hits Ocala Winter Circuit at Hits Post Time Farm.
