Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors! Twenty four of the Top 100 Showjumpers Ready to Rumble at Salzburg CSI 4*

Salzburg, Austria – January 13, 2021 – It starts! The 15th anniversary of the Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors will take place from 21st to 24th January. Under strict hygiene regulations and a lot of extra work. But organizer Josef Göllner and his team can look forward to welcoming Olympic, world and European champions in dressage and jumping saddle to the Salzburg Arena! Show jumping at 4-star level as well as the top-class dressage world cup are on the program as part of the 15th Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors. The prize money of more than 200,000 euros attracts the best of the best in show jumping and dressage saddles to Austria under strict security measures.

Twenty-four out of the Top 100 in Showjumpers Set to Come to Salzburg
The international starting field is led by the number 16 in the world, Christian Ahlmann (GER). The European champion, world cup winner and team bronze medalist at the World Equestrian Games and Olympic Games is accompanied by his teammates Hans-Dieter Dreher, Marcus Ehning , Felix Hassmann, Christian Kukuk, the eventing Olympic champion, world and European champion Michael Jung , Marco Kutscher or Philipp Weishaupt. The Netherlands is also sending a strong team, led by the Olympic silver medalists Jur Vrieling and Marc Houtzager. Red-white-red favorite in Salzburg is the Tyrolean Max Kühner , who is currently ranked 23rd in the world.

A total of six 4-star competitions await us at the Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors from 21.-24. January, four of which are endowed with EUR 25,000 and more and thus count for the Longines world rankings. The highlights are traditionally the 1.55 m high championship in Salzburg (Saturday, January 23rd from approx. 7 p.m.) with an endowment of EUR 45,000, and the Equitron-pro Grand Prix over 1.60 m with an endowment of EUR 95,000 .- on Sunday, January 24th from 15 clock.

Dressage queen Isabell Werth Leads Strong World Cup Starting Field
Dressage fans are waiting for the 15th Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors from 21:24. January 2021 not only a top CDI3 *, but also the complete dressage world sport elite in the World Cup in Salzburg. With Olympic champion, world and European champion as well as Salzburg serial winner and number 1 in the world Isabell Werth , as well as her colleagues ranked number 3 and 4 in the world, the champion riders Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Dorothee Schneider , three of the four team members of the German EM Gold team from Rotterdam to Salzburg. The crowd favorite Patrick Kittel (SWE) has also confirmed his attendance again and will be at the start in the FEI World Cup Dressage Grand Prix on Saturday at 8 a.m. and in the FEI World Cup Dressage Freestyle Grand Prix on Sunday from 11 a.m. Austria is also represented by internationally experienced riders with 13-time national champion Victoria Max-Theuer , reigning national champion Florian Bacher, as well as Christian Schumach, Franziska Fries and Timna Zach.

Safety first
In the week before the Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors there is already a lot of riding in the Salzburgarena – but without a public audience. After the 15th anniversary of Austria’s largest equestrian festival had to be postponed from December 2020 to January 2021 due to the global pandemic, top international show jumping will be split over two weekends and the 15th Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors will take place on the following weekend takes place without trade fair, show and dog sport. Over 2,000 tons of sand have been applied in the last few days in the Salzburgarena by countless hard-working helpers under strict hygiene regulations in order to be prepared for the two-legged and four-legged top athletes who will open the international equestrian season in Austria for two weeks from January 13th.
