Woodside, California, USA – August 24, 2020 – After consulting with veterinarians and physicians, and after reviewing projections of air quality for the coming week, we have unfortunately decided to cancel the remainder of competition at the Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival at the Horse Park at Woodside in Redwood City, California, USA.

We feel it’s unfair to ask grooms, staff, and trainers to work in these sub-par conditions, much less our equine and human athletes.

Any barns located in areas compromised by fire or smoke are welcome to stay at the Horse Park at Woodside until conditions allow them to return to their home stables.

We are deeply disappointed as we know many of you are as well, but we feel this is the right decision for everyone’s safety.
