Saugerties, New York, USA – June 10, 2020 – Despite the COVID-19 pandemic the Hits Horse Shows team has been committed to putting on events this summer. The Hits Chicago Spring Spectacular Series is already taking place at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois. In fact, the first week of competition has already been completed there.

After receiving final permission from the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), HITS Saugerties and the Vermont Summer Festival (VSF) announced that they would join forces to run the Great American Summer Series, a six-week Summer Series event at the HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties, New York, USA.  Nearly $2 Million in Prize Money will be awarded, with featured classes for hunters and jumpers each week, including three $100,000 Grand Prix, three $200,000 Grand Prix, three $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derbies and two World Championship Hunter Rider weeks. 

While HITS is fortunate to have the green light to organize horse shows again, they stress the importance of all participants continuing to practice social distancing in order to afford the safest environment for all participants, staff and others present at the showgrounds. All must wear masks and follow the safety protocols.
