Basel, Switzerland – January 11, 2020 – After coming close a few times in the previous classes throughout the week, Denis Lynch (IRL) rode Cristello to victory in the CHF $75,000 Championat of Basel CSI 5* during the Longines CSI Basel 5*-W in Switzerland.

The Irishman and the 13-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood stallion (Numero Uno x Voltaire) claimed top honors in the 1.50m jump-off challenge, overcoming all the obstacles for no penalties and crossing the finish in 36.80 seconds during the tiebreaker.

Max Kühner (AUT) and Alfa Jordan (Air Jordan x Lancelot) finished second backed by two clear efforts, the second one in 38.54 seconds.

Bryan Balsiger (SUI) and Jenkins ter Doorn (Numero Uno x Sir Lui) also registered a double clear, securing the third spot on the podium in 38.95 seconds.
