Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – November 07, 2019 – Holly Smith (GBR) and Denver won the €25,300 Two-Phase Class CSI 3* today during the Vilamoura Champions Tour CSI 3* at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre in Portugal.
After winning the €50,200 Crédito Agrícola Grand Prix CSI 3* almost two weeks ago and the €25,040 Jump-off Class CSI 3* last week, both during the Vilamoura Champions Tour, the Brit and the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Memphis x Chico’s Boy) were supreme once again, this time advancing to and completing the second phase of the 1.45m challenge flawlessly, stopping the timers in 25.52 seconds for the victory.
Francisco José Mesquita Musa (BRA) and Jivaro Império Egípcio (Echo van’t Spieveld x Darco) were the runners-up, the only difference being their time of 26.18 seconds in phase two.
Laura Renwick (GBR) and Dublin V ( Vigaro x Calvados/Sable Rose) rounded out the top three with no penalties and a final time of 26.47 seconds.
