Barcelona, Spain – October 04, 2019 – Holly Smith (GBR) and Denver won the €25,000 La Vanguardia Trophy CSIO 5* last Friday during the CSIO Barcelona at the Real Polo Club of Barcelona.

The Brit and the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood gelding (Memphis x Chico’s Boy) triumphed in the two-phase challenge without having any penalties attributed to them and stopping the final timers in 28.78 seconds.

Mathieu Billot (FRA) and Lord de Muze (Nabab de Reve x For Pleasure) earned silver honors, being nipped by only five-hundredths of a second.

Nicolas Toro (COL) and Desperado (Cardento x Lord Z) completed the podium, registering a clean scorecard and time of 29.14 seconds in the second phase.
