The Italian and the 10-year-old grey Belgian Warmblood mare (Vigo d’Arsouilles x Diamant de Semilly) had been teamed up only since late June and had great results together.

Their most important accomplishment was the seventh-place individual finish in the World Equestrian Games – Tryon 2018 last September in Mill Spring, North Carolina.

Their success continued with a fourth-place in the $375,000 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Doha CSI 5* last month at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar.

Stephex Stables released the following statement on their Facebook account:

“Today, Stephex Stables is parting ways with one of the best horses in the world, Irenice Horta. I would like to wish the best of luck to her new rider, Cian O’Connor (IRL).”

“I would especially like to thank and congratulate my daughter Zoe Conter, for producing this mare from 7yo up to the top level. Also thank you to Lorenzo de Luca, for the fantastic results during the last months.”

“Good luck Irenice, show them the star you are!”
